Media Release:

Appleton, WI: Special announcement just in time for St. Patrick’s Day: The Fox Cities will play host to
another brand new music festival. The inaugural Irish Fest of the Fox Cities will be held the weekend of
September 17th and 18th, 2021 at Jones Park in Downtown Appleton. This will be one of the very first
events at the downtown park and new amphitheater, which was built and donated by Miron
Construction in 2019.

“We have been planning this festival for almost three years now and had originally planned to launch in
the Fall of 2020. But, with the global pandemic this was obviously not possible. So hopefully by
September everyone will be ready to safely congregate and enjoy live music again,” said Matt Miller,
festival organizer. “We are so grateful to be able to launch this year. The planning committee has been
working tirelessly to schedule a great lineup of Irish and Celtic groups. It has been especially tough since
many of the international bands are still in lock-down and unable to obtain travel visas. We hope to
announce the full schedule very soon.”

Irish Fest will celebrate everything Irish and Celtic in nature: such as the rich culture, lively music,
scrumptious food, children’s activities, and Gaelic sports.
