To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Dr. Deana Mack, and I had the pleasure of teaching Stephen Nelson as a
student at Geneva College as well as supervising him in the field while he completed his student
teaching. He possesses many qualities that would be beneficial to your school, and I know you
would be impressed with his teaching skills if you hire him.
In his placements, he successfully connected professionally, worked effectively in the
team approach, tried new strategies to meet the needs of his students, worked with support
teachers and staff in an inclusive setting, and willingly accepted and implemented suggestions.
Within the classroom and lesson teaching, he demonstrated excellent uses of technology,
creative materials, and questioning, all while meeting the standards and needs of the students.
He demonstrated a great flexibility with his ability to work with middle grade students. His
strengths in planning, collaboration, great classroom environment, and content knowledge all
make him an excellent candidate for your vacancy.
Overall, Mr. Nelson has demonstrated numerous skills I would seek out if filling a
vacancy, and I would be willing to discuss them further if you would so desire. I recommend
him highly. My e-mail address is dmmack@geneva.edu, and my phone number is 412-260-
3126 (cell).

Sincerely,

Dr. Deana Mack Ph.D.
