I had my first meeting with an English club when I was twelve years old.

Then, I have known

that I wanted to learn more about this language and immerse myself into the English culture
ever since. During these sessions, I spent three hours from Monday to Friday in this club where
everybody shared intriguing and fascinating things about the American culture and
information about the tongue. After all the meetings, I used to rush into home and search on
internet about more things that I could learn about English and this country. I was in front of
the computer, reading some blogs and watching videos for from one hour to two hours in the
afternoon every day, in which I could appreciate how life is in USA, listening the way that
native English speakers talk with the aim to get better my English skills. However, when the
vacation was over, I had to go back to my hometown to carry on with my studies at school.
Nonetheless, that would not be an impediment to me to keep doing what I like most. So, this
time I focused on learning as much as possible about English, as my listening and reading skills
were not enough good to understand visual and audiovisual content in English. Therefore, I set
up a timetable where, after school, I study English 20 hours a week. Thanks to it, I could pass
the Preliminary English Test from Cambridge successfully and be at the level B2. Nowadays, I
am still studying so hard to learn English at the same time I get into the English culture. I enjoy
a lot watching content from American youtubers and reading information from articles that I
could not get before because of my level. Moreover, I find so interesting the celebrations that
they have, also pop music and the American history. Thanks to all my effort, I could win an
English competition at school; I had the opportunity to be a presenter in a very important
event in front of foreign authorities and I could travel around my country to perform social
projects with other American students. This is what encourages me to keep learning. Hence, I
started a project where I am in charge to motivate the students to learn all they can about
English and the culture. That is what I would like to keep on doing for so long. Finally, I carry on
studying English and I would like the opportunity to travel to USA so that I will be able to know
even more things in contact with native speakers and carry out more projects.
