S.T.O.

P Technique

Being mindful has always been a hard thing for me. It can be easy to become wrapped up in your busy
life and let stressors become an obstacle in your daily activities. After watching the video of this
technique, I was interested in how it would work with me. I tried to do this throughout the latter half of
the week when I felt stressed out from work and school. It turned out to be a calming and grounding
practice for me. I was able to sense where I was the most tense and try to relieve it. Proceeding was a
little harder for me, it took me a minute to figure out what would help me the most at these moments.
But I was soon able to figure out what I needed, even if it meant to take a quick nap.
