Sources of Criminal Justice Information

In my opinion the most accurate type of information is official agency

records. While it has its flaws, they have the most access to information about the

crime. It’s important to have all three sources because you’ll be able to receive the

most information about said crime. You’ll get answers from all types of people

and sources and it won’t be biased. It’s important to have self-report studies

because you don’t have to wait for the authorities to come find you to report the

crime. Victimization studies are also important because they dive into crimes that

aren’t reported.
