CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCATION

1.1 Background
LCD projector is one type of projector that is used to display video, images, or
data from a computer on a screen or something with a flat surface such as a wall,etc. The
befits of using a projector are as a media presentation, watching videos, and supporting
the success of certain events. Investigating projectors capable of displaying better quality
video, images and data, the LCD projectors makes lectures and students easier to
understand which they convey.
With the information above that the importance of projectors in lectures plays an
active role in supporting the learning process as the main media for distributing
information about the lecture process. However, in this case each university has its own
policy in providing facilities for each faculty and more specifically in each lecture
department. Gorontalo state university, precisely at the faculty of literature and culture in
the English education department, the lack of LCD projector facilities is something that
needs to be considred, given the progress of learning that is increasingly developing. Not
infrequently the level leaders of each class in English education majors seem to compete
first borrowa projectors for effective recovery activities.
For this reason, I made this a topic research, given the importance of LCD
projector facilities as an effective and creative learning media, especially in the faculty of
literature and culture English education department as one of the department that
desperately needs LCD projector media as a medium for lecture activies.

1.2 Problem formulation

In this simple study covers the problem of the lack of facilities for LCD projector
in the English language education department

1.3 Research purpose This mini research aims to determine the causes of the lack of
LCD projector facilities in the English education department?
