HOW TO TRANSFER FILES
TO YOUR GOOGLE DRIVE
•  Make sure to login to the Google account that you
have created your Google Classroom with.
•  Click on the Practice Activities from the previous
page that you would like to work on.
•  You will then be prompted to make a copy of the
Practice Activities in Google Slides. Click on the blue
button ‘Make a Copy’.

•  When you click the button, that resource that you


chose will go directly into your Google Drive.
•  Go to your Google Drive account and find the copy
of the file/resource that you chose.
•  You can re-name the file if you would like.

HOW TO ASSIGN TO STUDENTS
•  Go to Google Classroom. Click on ‘Classwork’ at
the top of the page. Click on ‘+Create’ and then
click on ‘Assignment’.

•  Type in the title and instructions (optional). Then


you are ready to add the assignment. Click ‘add’
and you will be asked to choose a file. Click on
‘Google Drive’.

HOW TO ASSIGN TO STUDENTS
•  Since you just just opened the file/resource in your Google
Drive account, you will be able to locate it directly at the
top.

•  Double click on the file/resource to add it to your Google


Classroom.
•  Now it is time for options. You can use the pull down arrow
to choose if you want students to view the file, edit your
original file (which you probably will not want), or make a
copy for each student. For most activities and this activity,
you will want to select ‘Make a copy for each student’.

•  Click ‘Assign’ in the top right corner.

FAQS
•  Can I only assign some of the slides rather than all of
them?
-Absolutely! You can break these apart to pick and
choose the slides that you need or want to use. Open
a new document on Google Slides. Then copy the slide
you want to use in the resource and paste it into the
new document that you opened in Google Slides.
•  How do you move the images on an ipad or phone?
- You must first click on the image that they would like to
move (this will activate it), then click another
time to drag the image.

•  Why are the images not moving?
- Make sure the file is in edit mode and not in present
or slide show mode. You will not be able to move
images in present or slide show mode.
•  When the resource is added as an assignment, do ©
students have to save before they submit?
- The file automatically saves as your students work.
•  Can these interactive activities be used on the ipad or
phone?
_ You bet! Make sure parents download the Google App
(Slides APP) for the interactive activities.
