Lesson Plan for Teachers, Staff, Faculty, and Administration

Meeting Objectives:
1. Engage and inform teachers, staff, faculty, and administration in their role as a Mandated
Reporter
2. Define Mandated Reporting and the different types of child abuse/neglect
3. Discuss signs & symptoms of child abuse/neglect & responding to disclosure of child
abuse
4. Explain the process of reporting child abuse/neglect in the education system and provide
real-life examples of reporting scenarios
