13-year-old Boy Aiden

He comes from a single parent household, his mother is an addict and is never around, he
barely sees her. he is practically raised by his two elder brothers who are in gangs and don’t
want him to follow their footsteps, but he sees them wearing designers and driving fast cars
and is enticed y that life and takes the initiative to start selling sweets to make money to
buy shoes and stuff.
Start at school selling sweets and stuff bragging to people that he is making bread we see
him selling things he gets noticed by a senior, He his approached by a senior at the school
invites him to make real money and introduces him to the gang life… first gives him a bag to
deliver and tells him not to look in the bag (intense scene) returns and is paid £50. He his
saluted by the rest of the gang and celebrated for a successful trip. He his introduced into
the gang life. Despite how scary the trip was for him he comes around when the gang
celebrates him. He meets the boss who is impressed and notices he is the brother of one of
his enemies.

He his ambushed on one of his trips by a jealous friend beaten up, rescued by P Alex (ex-
gang member) helped out of gang life and given a purpose, channel his business spirit into
something legal…. forex finance related.

20-year-old Jahvon

Aiden’s elder brother.

Has been the bread winner of his family since his elder brother went to jail for murder 5
years ago. He has grown to be a very dangerous gang leader, he his feared all over London.
He has even been labelled by the MET police as a notorious gang leader (approach with
caution). He doesn’t like being violent, but he does what he has to do to show he is not soft,
he is a leader not to be messed with. He lives the high life, parties’ clubs cars clothes and
girls.

P Alex.
Ex-gang leader, came out the life and is now doing a business but invest his time money and
life to saving people(souls) and bringing them out of the hood life. We can all be successful
together.
Note to self: don’t make it a typical gang film…………Connect audience emotionally to the
story and characters.
Introduce important topics as undertones e.g the amount of knife crimes, coming from the
gangs point of view. Under privileged people, struggle, poverty, hopelessness and
manipulation.

Story beat 1

act 1
Opening scene is a compilation type of the knife crime and London rising violence rate then
cut to classroom with Declan.
Straight Introduction to Declan, Jahvon and his girlfriend. Voice over from Jahvon
introducing us to the world.

Int class room intro to Declan

Int trap house. intro to Jahvon and girlfriend and their relationship. (her man is the boss,
how does she treat other men and how is she treated)
Show declan’s relationship with his brother
Introduction to Jhavon’s business and his rivals, how he deals with disputes /his
ruthlessness.
Street beef.
End of act 1 Declan is introduced to the gang and asked to do a job.

Act 2
Development of Declan’s situation with the rival gang.the double cross….N.B very graphic
We see Jahvon’s soft side…doesn’t like being this tough but he has to be to survive… so
many people want him dead. Protects himself.
Declan is saved by pAlex. It unfolds.
End of acct 2 Jahvon finds out about Declan’s situation from p Alex. It his rival and he must
have revenge. his gang members expect a retaliation.

Act 3
Development…P Alex tries to talk to Jahvon; gets Declan to a safe environment (trap house)
introduction of others doing well.
P Alex talks Jahvon down…offers his a different path..he his hesitant but finally accepts to
give it a chance…… “I am not looking for a saviour I am looking for an alternative”
We see from Jahvon’s enemey’s camp that he his plotting to attack him
Act3 ends with Jahvon being attacked and stabbed(very graphic)… he his taking what looks
like his last breath on the ambulance gurney covered in blood. We se that the narration/VO
is from him reminecing before he takes his last breath……Al least his brother will be safe
now and out of the life….he wishes he took the step earlier…nomatter what you have to pay
for your sins..karma…this is his payment…he has accepted it.

Other ideas

1)
Obi is being investigated by a couple of police officers his leg is shaking and he is waiting while the 2
officers are standing outside, they have been trying to track down this leader of a gang for some time
now and want to know all the information.

Or

He knows he will be arrested in a few days so he is writing his memoirs for his baby boy that is due
any day but he won’t be around to see the baby be born or grow up and he is writing how he got to the
place he is in today.

2)
It begins with him talking to his girlfriend and how he is worried and scared of what is to come, but
they are interrupted with his mates/the other gang members knocking on the door, when they come in
he (hides the book) changes his attitude and pretends that he is not at all scared and that he will be the
leader on the inside in no time. They remind him to remember where he came from.

3)
We see Tomas in class looking around looking at the empty chairs in the room while trying to keep
his head down because his crew aren’t in today. He tries to message them in class but gets called out
for being on his phone. When he is sent to the principal’s office, the principal tells him that he has
potential that he could have a better future, and exams are only a month away and if he started
tomorrow he would have a chance at getting on the right track.

4)
Obi is having lunch with his girlfriend she tells him she should cook, even though he keeps insisting
but she claims he wont get another chance to have her cook for him, to eat some decent food while he
is on the inside.

5)
Louisa is walking down the streets, she is wearing a hoodie and holds her small backpack tightly to
her but only one strap on her shoulder. She arrives at a flat and bashes on the door looking around a
guy opens it and lets her in, there are a group of people in there a few young boys sit on the sofa. The
guy who opened the door, leads Louisa to the other room while a man is talking to the boys on the
sofa. “New recruits I’m guessin’” the guy insists she sits down, but she stands. A man sits on a chair
in the same room and says that the lovely lady can sit next to him, or that his lap is her throne. She
takes out her Swiss knife and tells him she will cut off his balls if he even looks at her the wrong way
again.
