ABSTRACT
The Indian construction industry is growing each day with a global recognition.
The project manager is responsible to monitor the quality, safety and time
management issues through there are specialised personnel for the respective
departments. There has been an increase research in quality, safety & time
management issues faced in the Indian construction industry. The reason for the
above studied by researchers and suggested possible remedial measures. Today, with
globalization and urbanization, framework development undertakings are completed
everywhere throughout the world. Each project will bring certain components of
issues. These issues are to be managed in an efficient way so as to achieve the
objectives of the projects. Since it causes delay in project duration and increase the
project budget to overcome the issues research work is carried out. This paper
discusses how these ontological methods can be used by different types of projects
team members for learning the project management system. It explain how thinkers
and feelers can use it for making decisions. And thus the projects team can use the
method as a common mind map to learn the CPMS.
Key words: construction project management system; application; conclusion.

Application of Project Management System in Construction Project

1. INTRODUCTION
Today, with globalization and urbanization, construction projects are completed everywhere
throughout the world. Each project will bring certain components of issues. Management of
these issues are critical in order to accomplish the destinations of the projects. The research
paper concentrates on the significant issues that influence the construction project are quality,
safety and time management issues. Delay as alluded in construction is prolong construction
period and interruptions of occasions that aggravate the construction program. Construction
management is characterized as the management exercise that are well beyond the normal
architectural and engineering services conducted during the conceptualization, construction
and closing periods of a project that add to the control of cost and time. Any issue that is
brought on because of quality, safety and time management influence the cost and time of the
project. A questionnaire survey is directed to evaluate and rank the key variable influencing
the cost and time of the project.

2. QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Quality management is a management function that ensures the quality of the products,
services and/or operation processes of an organisation. It contributes to the competitiveness
and maintains the sustainability of the organisation (Tan Chin-keng 2011).
Quality has been viewed as a standout among the most vital and aggressive variables
among the construction organization during the previous two decades. It has become clear
that the responsibility of achieving application of quality management concepts shall be
borne by the construction management and its personnel. In turn, such management can be
attained by a specialized management field named  Quality management. Quality
management is a basic part in the fruitful management of construction projects. ISO 9000
accreditation is the best quality management system for some construction organizations. A
Quality Management system gives a structure, including documentation and procedures,
which empowers the conveyance of item and administrations to be controlled and figured out
how to meet the predefined necessities reliably.

3. SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Safety management is a hierarchical capacity, which guarantees that all safety hazard has
been recognized, evaluated & agreeably relieved. The Objective of safety management in the
construction industry is to forestall human harm or death toll, and to maintain a strategic
distance from harm to the earth and to property. The factor that drive safety performance are
firm safety policies, safety training , safety meetings , safety equipment , safety inspection ,
safety incentives and penalties , workers attitudes towards safety , labour turnover rates .One
of the most ideal approaches to maintain a strategic distance from woods and limit expenses
is through a decent arranging and co-appointment both before and at work.

4. TIME MANAGEMENT
Time management is the demonstration or procedure of arranging and practicing cognizant
control over the measure of time spent on particular exercises, particularly to expand
viability, proficiency or profitability. It might be helped by a scope of aptitudes, devices and
procedures used to oversee time while fulfilling particular assignments, tasks, and objectives
conforming to a due date. It is typically a need in any project development as it decides the
project finishing and scope. Time management can be thought to be a project management
subset and is more generally known as project planning and scheduling. It has been identified
as one of the core functions identified in construction management. Time management is
construct dominatingly in light of arranging and then it’s all control and execution. Planning

for project timetable may come from due dates, client requests, hard and delicate rationale,
and a touch of forecast.

5. LITERATURE STUDY
The studies related to project management and its effects over the construction industry have
been growing with latest developments in management techniques. These studies not only
develop the knowledge transfer but also ensure developed efficiency. Many of the
management techniques focus on the decision making characteristic of the project
management system. This study gives a brief idea about construction project management,
efficiency, stages, rethinking of project management and unexpected event.

6. METHODOLOGY
From the writing review it had been learned and inferred that there are many issues identified
with quality, safety & time in construction industry. Because of the time ,imitation for the
project the illustrative review techniques is to be embraced , while different strategies may
take long length. The adopted project methodology is described in details below

7. DATA COLLECTION
A stratified questionnaire survey (Google-form) was conducted in India. Survey participants
comprised planning engineer, quality engineer, site engineer, project engineer etc. The
questionnaire survey distributed in 40 companies, will give a brief idea of the issues faced in
quality, safety &Time management & 35 responded.

8. DATA ANALYSIS
Analyse done for thesis work using SPSS 17. The analysis are
 Reliability test
 Histogram test
 Pareto test

8.1. Reliability Test

The alpha coefficient for the 35 items is .726, suggesting that the items have relatively high
internal consistency. (A reliability coefficient of .70 or higher is considered “acceptable” in
most social science research situations.)

8.2. Histogram Test

The histogram shows the frequency level of the response from the total number of samples.
Hence the following chart shows the mean and standards deviation for the high success
factors.

8.3. Pareto Chart

A Pareto chart, is a type of chart that contains both bars and a line graph, where individual
values are represented in descending order by, and the cumulative total is represented by the
line. The purpose of the Pareto chart is highlight the most important among a (typically large)
set of factors.

9. RESULT
 From the reliability test we understood that questionnaire is valid.
 From the histogram chart it is found the standard deviation & mean of the particular factor.
 The Pareto chart it is showing that the factor inadequate inaccurate cost estimate negatively
affect the project.

10. CONCLUSION
On the basis of questionnaire survey this is concluded as follows
 Implementation of better quality management correct organizational polices will reduce the
project cost, and it will lead to success in construction.
 Monitoring manpower during construction for performance safety using contract
management: A CPMS which has built in provision in the contract for monitoring the
manpower for safety (for example, training for safety and use of safety equipment) is likely
to increase the performance safety of the project.

Application of Project Management System in Construction Project

 Planning time during conceptualization for efficiency(time , cost) using time management:
A CPMS which plans for time as a resource at the pre-construction stage itself while
managing the time of the project will likely increase the time efficiency of the project
