Lesson 2,3,5
Lesson 2,3,5
No, I have changed a lot since then because of the many challenges and experiences I have been
through in life.
As I entered college which was a new environment, I learned to do more than what I was doing
during my high school years.
I started to adapt and ventured into adulting and incorporated it in my daily decisions and
actions.
I am not the same person 5 years ago also because I am no longer that person who just stays in
the shell anymore.
Today I am a person willing to uncover my full potential for my future endeavors in life.
The “Me-self” is the society self while the “I-self” is the response to the social self, objective and
subjective respectively.
The “Me-self” as the society self is how others expect us to behave and was developed through
socialization with others while the “I-self” is our opinion of ourselves as a whole.
The difference between a collectivist and an individualist is by the goals and objectives they set
whether for themselves or for others.
Filipinos are an example of a collectivist society that focuses on group and family goals above
one’s own, while an example of an individualist society are the people in Canada that focuses on
individual goal and exercises autonomy.
