In this Agreement, words and expressions shall have the same meanings as are respectively assigned to them in the Conditions of Contract hereinafter referred to. 2. In consideration of the payments to be made by the Owner to the Contractor as, hereinafter mentioned, the Contractor hereby covenants with the Owner to execute and complete the Works and remedy any defects therein in conformity with provisions of this Contract in all respects. 4. The Owner hereby covenants to pay the Contractor in consideration of the execution and completion of the Works and the remedying of defects wherein, the Contract Price or such other sum as may become payable under the provisions of this Contract atthe time and in the manner prescribed by this Contract. 5. The Contractor shall pay taxes in full and on time and that failure to do so will entitle the government to suspend payment for any services delivered by the Contractor. 6. The Contractor shall likewise regularly present within the duration of the Contract, attax clearance from the BIR as well as a copy of its income and business tax returns duly stamped and received by the BIR and duly validated with tax payments made thereon.
