Approximation technique:-

In mostly DI questions we encounter % related questions. example "sales of company A

in 2005 is how much % of the total sales of Company B in all the years"
Rules: If we increase the denominator, the Answer should be increased at the
same time if we decrease the Denominator, Answer should be decreased.
Suppose We need to solve 26/94*100 the actual answer is 27.65 but it takes time to
calculate
but with the help of approximation method
we increase the Denominator by 6 then we solve 26/100*100 so the answer is 26 but we
need to increase the answer since we've increased the Denominator. but by how much
% ?? lets check it out-
94+6=100 here we increased only single digit 6 to the denominator so 1% of 94 is 0.94
(approx 1) so we need to multiply 6 in order to get 6 means 6%, since we've increased the
Denominator by 6% the Answer should be increased by 6%
so 1% of 26 is 0.26 then 0.26*6=1.56 therefore answer should be increased by 1.56 to 27.56
very close to 27.65, no need to calculate exact value.
Practice more and more on this method and you'll find it easy and less time consuming.
All the best.

how to find 62/72 * 100 by same method...can we actually find it... or this method is
applied when denominator near to 100....

So according to your Question 62/72*100 the actual answer by tedious calculation is

86.11
But in Approximation method your primary objective is to make fast and accurate
calculation. So we increase the denominator 72 to 100 by 28 now 62/100*100=62 you
can also decrease the denominator to 50, it's up to you whether you choose 100 or 50
where you feel ease.
Now we have increased the denominator 72 by two digit number 28 so 10% of 72
is 7.2 (approx 7) so we have to multiply it by 4 in order to get 28 now we have
increased the denominator by 10+4=14% so answer 62 should also be increased
by 14%
then 10% of 62 is 6.2 (approx 6) now we multiply it by 4 so we get 6*4=24 so
answer should be increased by 24.
Then 62+24=86 solved.
Actually this method has several steps so there is a possibility that you may forget these
steps, so practice this method well you'll definitely get finesse.
