Topic : Cause and effect of shyness

I was in sixth grade when my family were going to shopping at the mall. I am very
excited because I can’t go to the mall all the time since I was living in a countryside. I was
very enthusiastic thinking that I will buy new clothes and new pair of shoes, but something
happened during that time. I don’t know that it would be the unforgottable moment in my
life, and this happened because of I was too shy to talk to people.
The mall was pretty crowded. I came holding hands with my mother and my sister.
My mother and my sister were walking so fast, then I let go of my hand without realizing it. I
looked around looking at the store. Then I realized the moment I was looking around, my
mother wasn’t with me anymore. I got lost in the mall.
I was shocked, but I tried not to freak out. I was thinking what should I do next, where
will I go, and where can I find them. I was just wander around the mall searching for my
mother or my other family, but I can’t find them. At that time I started to panic, then I
remembered that my family say they were going to eat at the Mc Donalds. I was going to ask
people where the Mc Donalds is but I was too scared to talk to strangers.
I was wandering around the mall again looking for my family. My feet hurt because I
keep walking. I was going to cry because I still can’t find them. Some people were notice me
because I was wandering around for more half an hour in the same place. Then they asked me
why was I alone. I said that I got lost and I can’t find my family while crying.
Then they took me to information center to announce that there were a missing child.
I was very grateful for their help. Not so long after they announced the missing child my
family came to the information center. I was so happy and I wasn’t scared anymore. I was
thinking that maybe if I was not too shy to asking stranger for help I can find my family
easily without making my feet hurt. From that incident I was learning to get rid of my
shyness and take courage to asking for help so that the same incident never happen again.
