▪ Attendance: To receive full credit for attendance, students
must arrive within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time and
stay until the class finishes. All absences, justified or
unjustified, count against this grade. For more information, see
the Attendance Policies document on VEC (Virtual Education
Center).
▪ Online Learning Activities: These interactive exercises
accompany every unit and include 20 practice questions for
each language point, as well as activities to test vocabulary
knowledge, listening comprehension, and reading
comprehension.
▪ PEP: Personalized Education Plan. These are focused, short
activities or experiments assigned by the teacher and/or
chosen by students to put their learning into practice outside
the classroom every week.
▪ Quiz: After every 2 units, there is an online quiz that covers the
most recent four grammar points learned. This quiz has a time
limit of 25 minutes, and can only be taken once.
▪ Professional Writing: These are two graded writing
assignments found online in your course. Each assignment
has an ungraded draft and a graded final version.
