Summary : JavaScript is a language for web development whereas jQuery is a library which has originated
from JavaScript.

jQuery in terms of speed is quite fast for modern browsers on modern computers. Since It is nothing
but a library of JavaScript, it cannot replace JavaScript. All jQuery code is JavaScript, but jQuery
doesn't include all the JavaScript code.

jQuery is a light-weight JavaScript library. It has only the DOM.

jQuery uses fewer lines of code than JavaScript for the same functions as the code is already written
in library, user just have to import the library and use the relevant function of the library in the code.
 In jQuery, user can add animation effects easily with fewer lines of code.

It is more user-friendly than JavaScript .

jQuery is more maintainable as user just have to call the prede ned functions in the jQuery library in
the code.
