Introduction

Measurements are important for a lot of professions, and even more so for engineers.
Instruments made to gather these measurements tend to be very sensitive, so that they can
be as specific as possible. That is why time has to be invested into learning the workings
of such instruments. A multimeter is one such instrument. It is one of the most used tools
when it comes to circuits, as it is capable of measuring almost all values that a person
using it would want to know. Learning the ins and outs of a multimeter, be it analog or
digital, is important as accurate readings would be needed in the subjects future
endeavors.
Objectives
The lab activity aims to:
 Show how to use the analog and digital VOM or multimeter;
 Show how to read an analog multimeter scale.

1. Watch video demo for using an analog multimeter
2. Watch video demo for using a digital multimeter
3. Label their parts
4. Write a procedure for using an analog and a digital multimeter
5. Perform analog scale reading exercises
