SARATOGA AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM TO EXHIBIT ICONIC


PORSCHES IN RARE AIR
16 timeless Porsches from the Steven Harris Collection will be on display

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (May 4, 2021) – The Saratoga Automobile Museum has announced a new
exhibition of iconic air-cooled Porsche models from the collection of architect Steven Harris. The exhibit is
presented by Porsche and Porsche Clifton Park.

The exhibit will open to the public on Sunday, May 9 at 10 a.m. and run through Autumn 2021.

Visitors to the Museum will be able to view 16 world-class examples from the Steven Harris Collection that
will be displayed alongside special photography of the cars by automotive photographer James Lipman.

Exhibit highlights include the famed serial #18 1984 911 SCRS, a one-of-twenty 964 RS N-GT “Macau”,
the infamous “widow-maker” 993 GT2, plus multiple Ameillia Island Concours d’Elegance winning 356
Speedsters, Coupes and Cabriolets.

“Automobiles are works of art that evoke strong emotional responses and memories from those who view
them,” said Carly Connors, executive director, “These astounding and iconic Porsches, from the Steven
Harris Collection, are absolutely works of art. You do not have to be an automotive enthusiast to fully
appreciate each detail, line and proportion. One glance at these stunning automobiles can convey the
consideration, timeless design aesthetics, creative genius and effort that created them. We invite you to
experience these Porsches for yourself, here in our Museum.”

There will be an exhibit preview day for Museum members on Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Members tickets can be reserved online, for free.

The exhibit will open to the general public on Sunday, May 9 at 10 a.m. Adult admission tickets are $12,
students, seniors, veterans and active military admission prices are $10. Admission tickets can be
purchased via the Museum’s website at saratogaautomuseum.org or in-person at the Museum.

The Rare Air exhibit is presented by Porsche and Porsche Clifton Park.

officially opened to the public in June 2002. The Museum’s mission is to preserve, interpret and exhibit
automobiles and automotive artifacts. We celebrate the automobile and educate the general public,
