● All parts should be labelled on the back/bottom edge.


● Welt is most often cut on a diagonal.
● If joining is required to achieve length for boxing or welting, remember to add 1” for each
seam. You can certainly cut extra and trim what you don’t need later - sometimes this is
a faster approach.
● Be wary of mixing up dimensions!!!!!!!! Since cushions are three dimensional, it’s very,
very easy to confuse a term like “width” or “length”
● You can adjust the respective dimensions of your zipper and boxing depending on where
you want your zipper to finish. Longer zippers are easier for cushion filling, but
sometimes the sides of a cushion are visible.
