Vincent van Gogh

Vincent van Gogh was born on March 30, 1853 in

Holland.

He was an art student in Belgium, dedicated to

giving happiness by creating beauty. He became
famous for the use of light and color.

He could paint thick strokes on the canvas with

thick brush strokes or with the edge of a
palette. His Post-Impressionist work was in most of the major art movements of the
20th century.
