Climate change is a phenomenon that affects and permeates through the Earth, and its
immediate effect is causing people to become increasingly concerned. According to Parker
(n.d.), climate change is caused by human activities such as deforestation, intensive agriculture which causes the emittance of greenhouse gases, and the increased use of fossil fuels such as oil, gas, etc. Those who contribute most to the environmental damage are the companies that tend to produce toxic wastes which, then, causes different kinds of environmental pollution. An example of the aforementioned companies are fossil fuel and logging businesses. In order to hold these private companies accountable and reduce the damages in the environment, these companies should, first, accept all the responsibilities for all the environmental repercussions of their decisions and make reparations for the damage they have caused in return. Secondly, they should be required to shift toward sustainable industrial output; for example, in fossil fuel industries, they should avoid extracting, producing, distributing, and using coal and oil, and instead concentrate on using renewable energy. Lastly, they should offer highly effective and low-cost solutions and concentrate on reducing emissions.
