A functional resume is used to focus on your skills and areas of expertise, not the details of past

work experience or a list of recent jobs. You can use this resume to highlight the most important

of your skills and how you can apply them in various roles. You can use this resume when you

don’t have much or no career experience or when you are making a major career change.

A chronological resume is used to list the history of your jobs in order of when you had held

each position along with work experience. This resume will allow you to list out your recent and

outstanding talents, skills, and expertise for future employers. You can use this type of resume

for any type of situation because this resume will increase your chances of getting a job.

A combination resume is when you want to show your skills, qualifications, and experience

while also showing a future employer your work history. You first list your skills/qualifications

and then your work history. You can use this type of resume when you want to put emphasis on

your skill/qualifications and want to include a work history as well.
