Some of them were Roads, Entertainment,Sewage and Sanitation, etc. All of these
advancements made an impact on the Roman Empire, including more. However, the
Medicine was the most influential advancement for a few reasons. First of all, it
protected others from disease. Many already had medicine to prevent them from
catching a disease. Natural resources helped heal people in Rome as well. The use of
medicine also allowed soldiers to keep expanding. This was a very big impact on life in
Rome. Medicine helped soldiers to become healthy, so they could expand further and
continue to expand. Lastly, many injuries were healed with medicine. Soldiers often got
injured badly. Without medicine, the injuries can become something worse, possibly a
disease. Medical tools, like scalpels, forceps, and spatula’s were used to perform
surgeries on soldiers. Medicine is a very important part of the Roman Empire and
without it, the Roman Empire wouldn’t have been as successful as it already was.
