Clearances: MCPS PRS

PRS is a performing right society and MCPS is the mechanical copyright protection society. PRS deals with
making sure that you have clearances to make live work and MCPS deals with work that is being recorded.

Legal: This is copyright and insures that you get the correct copyright clearance to use the work and health and
safety which insures that everyone is able to work in a safe environment.

Regulations:

Ofcom these regulate TV, Radio and Video

IPSO: They regulate the newspaper and the magazines

ASA: They regulate the advertisements that are on TV

BBFC: These insure that movies come under the correct age ratings and what is visible to others

Trade Unions:

PACT: Produces alliances with cinema and television they deal with TV, Film and Digital

NJU: National Union of Journalist they deal with journalists

MU: Music Union they will advice musicians
