There are many restrictions when attempting to start a business. Whether real estate,
commercial, or tax related, law comes into play frequently in the business setting. Nonetheless, I
wanted to find the extent to which business law sets the framework for business practices in
society. That is- when would a business owner face problems regarding law, and when would be
the most appropriate time to seek advice. Through extensive research and an interview with an
experienced businessman, it became evident that legal advice is needed before one even begins
to think about creating a business. There are so many regulations when it comes to advertising,
intellectual property, and physical property. This is why it is necessary to seek professional help,
so as to avoid the possibility of walking into a lawsuit. Overall, the best type of lawyer to hire
when pondering entrepreneurship is a business/commercial lawyer. However, this may change as
your business grows. With commercial trading and investment, it is very easy to make a mistake
that could bring about the end of your company or even the end of your bank account. Therefore,
it is crucial that one heavily evaluates all aspects of the economic climate and competition prior
to launching a business. I wish to use this information later in life to aid in my potential
entrepreneurship or law practice. Knowing that I cannot figure everything out on my own and
that I need advice will not necessarily allow me to become successful, rather, grant me the
strength to try again when I fail and minimize losses. This, in turn, will lead to success.
