To Irfan Ali Hosein (User-9824485881433750383) and Quora User,

You make an incorrect assumption. Quora does delete accounts when necessary. Quora
wants most of us to keep our main account, but it does not want people to keep extra
accounts. Per Quora’s terms of service, sockpuppet accounts are not allowed (these are any
accounts in excess of your “real” account). We must delete extra accounts.

In order to delete a Quora account and make it permanent, you must delete it, and then
leave it alone for 14 days. If you open your profile at all during this time, or do any
activity under that account, t … (more)

If you are trying to delete your Quora account but keep getting logged in again, you need
to wait at least a full day past the required fourteen days for a deletion to finalize.

If you log in even once during that time, your account will be reactivated and you will have
to go through the deletion process all over again.

To keep from accidentally getting logged in, uninstall the Quora app from any devices that
had it installed, and don't visit Quora from any web browser. It's probably a good idea to
dump the cache in any browser you've ever visited Quora from, and delete any Quora-
related cookies … (more)

Presumably, your Quora account has not been deleted because you haven’t asked them to
delete it.

As to your answers being collapsed, the four you’re complaining about were moderated
for the reasons given in the moderation notice. All of them appear to have been
legitimately moderated for reasons consistent with Quora policy.

Your writing style is somewhat flippant and abrasive, and that’s going to rub people the
wrong way and occasionally you’ll get collapsed for it. You can simply keep on doing the
same thing and accept that some of your answers will be collapsed, you can try to figure
out what … (more)

As Scott Hendison mentions, you probably keep logging in. Here’s what Quora says about
deleting accounts:

If you are certain you wish to delete your account, visit your account privacy settings and
choose “Delete Account”. Once you confirm, your account will be deactivated
immediately and the deletion process will begin. If you login during the next 14 days, the
account will be reactivated and deletion will be canceled.—Quora's answer to How do I
delete my Quora account?

So if you logged in just once, the deletion was cancelled and you have to start over.

Next time, delete your account, wait 14 d … (more)

Did you read that it takes two weeks to delete an account after you deactivate it?

And that if you log in before your account is deleted, you're reactivating it?

If you're having a problem with getting emails or notifications, you could change those
settings immediately.

Replying to a DoNotReply email asking to delete your account won't work. Neither will
asking as a question on Quora.

there is an Unsubscribe link on the Quora Digest, though it may still be in tiny pale gray
type at the bottom.

Click on the Account button (it’s your profile picture at the top of the screen).

Then click on Privacy.

Then click on Delete Account.

The ONLY thing that would prevent you from doing this is if it isn’t actually your account
so you don’t know the password and aren’t logged in.

By the way, your highly “mature” name and profile description couldn’t at all possibly be
why people treat you like a child, could they?

Why is it when I've deleted my Quora account, it's still active?

There’s a fourteen day grace period for you to change your mind. If you check back before
those fourteen days are up, your account will still be active. Checking back reactivates it
and keeps it active. I recommend you not check back for thirty days at least; give Quora
lots and lots of time to delete your site.
