Read the literary piece Happiness, and interview some people about the things that can make them happy, then list
down these things and ask them for some reasons behind their answers. Discuss your reaction to their answers.

I interviewed my mother, father, and my best friend since I can’t go out of our house and messenger is the
most convenient app that I can use to message my best friend. The reason why I interviewed them is because they’re
the closest people to my heart. So here’s the list of the things that can make them happy:

Clean house So we can live together with the family
So we have something to spend for food and other
Money
things.
Garden So I can see all the flowers and vegetables growing well.
Traveling, Shopping and Grocery To relieve stress
Seeing my children successful and happy It just indicates that my hard work will pay off
To see my family in good health So we can live together for a long time

Things that can make my Father happy Reasons

Good health for me and my family
Spending time with my family
Taking care of my chicken
Seeing my children happy of what they do
Have enough money and food to eat
To live with my family longer
To know more about them and to make our bond
stronger
To relieve stress and forget problems temporarily
It makes me happy if they are happy
So I can give them a better life

Things that can make my best friend happy Reasons:

Making someone happy because of me.
Graduate on time and make my parents proud
Passing the exam
It feels like I made someone’s day and it will make my

Achieving little things.
Doing right and good things.
Pampering myself sometimes.
Seeing someone happy makes me happy too
To give back my parent’s sacrifices and hard work
For my hard work to pay off and get high grades

It feels like I achieved something big and my day is
productive.

After knowing the things that can make them happy, it made me happy too. They just proved that it not just
about having luxurious things that will make a person happy but also about the happiness of the people who are
important to them. They didn’t just think about their own happiness because most of their answers are about the
welfare and happiness of their loved ones. They proved that sometimes happiness cannot be seen nor touched but
felt.
