Mary: Everyone’s Mother and

Model as a Christian

A man once said “A mother is the one who is still there when everyone else has
deserted you.” Our mother is one of, if not the best woman in our lives. Since our birth,
they’ve been taking care of us even when sometimes we’re quite unlovable. When we
feel down and you feel like no one loves you, we will always have our mother on our
side. Everyone’s mother, Mary, was also like our biological mother.

Mary was a woman blessed by God. She was visited by Gabriel, God’s angel to
deliver the message that she will be pregnant. Mary was still a virgin that time when she
was told about it but she believed. Her faith was admirable. She’s so faithful to our
omnipotent God even believing that she will be pregnant even though she’s a virgin.

Mary was just like our own biological mother. She thinks about her children more
than anyone. Even back when they thought Jesus was lost for three days, she was
worried to death. She was even there when Jesus was hung on the cross. She was
worried about Jesus more than anyone including Jesus’ disciples who abandoned Him
when he was on his last breath. She was still there to retrieve His body while crying.
Jesus’ disciples were nowhere to be found but she was there. She cares for Jesus more
than anyone.

As a Christian, we must follow the faith Mary showed. The way she believed that
she will become pregnant even though she’s still a virgin is something every Christian
must follow. A revelation from God to us sounds impossible sometimes that even faithful
Christians won’t believe and may hesitate. That’s why faith just like Mary’s is a good
example to follow. Remember, what is impossible to men is possible to God.
