I found the article written by Mariam Iliyas (2020) published on November 30 in The News

Straits Times entitled “Communication, Being Considerate Vital in Virtual Learning” was very
informative. Based on the article, to ensure that virtual learning runs smoothly, it is very
important for us to have a good communication skill especially to students and lecturers
while facing the virtual learning. Therefore, we must be aware of the consequences of poor
communication and strive to improve the ability to communicate within ourselves in order to
facilitate virtual learning.

After I read this news, I agree with the finding very much since I also do have a problem
during virtual learning because I am still not aware about it. First and foremost, it is true that
if you do not have a good communication with your lecturer, it will cause a bit problem during
virtual learning. I had this experience when I and my classmates had a bad relationship with
our lecturer because we did not have a proper communication. We have been asked to tell
the result of our discussions but we did not do that. Because of that, our lecturer skipped the
class on that day and he became strict since then. Learned from the experience, I believe
that we need to improve our communication skill to avoid such as those matter happens. For
example, we should explain to our lecturer if we cannot give any answer yet for his question
so that he can consider our request. We should not keep silent if he asks something from us,
yet we should tell him first that we will response as soon as possible.

I enjoyed very much reading this article. It allowed me to remind and learn from past so
that all of us can improve ourselves to have a good communication skill than before.
