OVARIAN CANCER

Symptoms are frequently non specific early on

and may include:
Bloating/ abdominal distension
pelvic pain,
difficulty eating and
urinary frequency

Sources/sites:
surface (epithelium) of the ovary
 fallopian tube 
egg cells (germ cell tumor) 

Other symptoms:
Back pain
Constipation
Urinary urgency
Pelvic pain
Vaginal bleeding
Weight loss

Etiology - Unknown

Risk factors:
 Older women
Genetics
Infertile women
Endometriosis
 Postmenopausal estrogen replacement therapy

DIAGNOSIS:
 physical examination 
CA 125
TVS
surgery

Management:
CHEMOTHERAPY
SURGERY
RADIATION
