Activity 1: Music listening

1. What comes to your mind while listening to the music?


 Every time you listen to a piece of music, you're actually giving yourself a deep, full-brain
workout. Anyone who has heard a song knows that the feeling is unlike any other. Neurological
research into music comprehension has glimpsed why that might be. A song starts with your ears
and ends with the music resonating in some way through all four of the brain's major lobes,
producing reactions throughout the body, evoking emotions and memory. Looking more closely
at the pathways music takes through the brain only reveals why it's played such a powerful role
in human life for so long

2. What is the function of the music?


 Seven main functions of music listening were identified: music in the background, memories
through music, music as diversion, emotions and self-regulation through music, music as
reflection of self and social bonding through music.
3. What do you think is the message of the song?
 Life who died without justice. The message of the song is to give justice to the massacre of
bangsamoro people. The musical instruments and the song was used to introduce the horrible
massacre and to let the people know the old instruments of bangsamoro is until this time is
being preserve and played.

Activity 3.
Write a short essay on what you observed about the musical forms and performance techniques used
in the song.

services or private devotions, or more generally to musical traditional of the Muslim world.
