1. PERSON DETECTING A FIRE MUST, IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE OUTBREAK:
Alert nearby persons and request assistance. Call the fire brigade by either operating nearest fire alarm or by phoning the suitable number Call a site Warden. Inform Q-HSE Staff of the location of fire. Use fire extinguishers or hose reels if safe to do so. Evacuate if necessary, closing doors to confine fire.
2. SAFETY ATTENDANT WHEN ADVISED OF A FIRE, MUST:
Phone the fire brigade and confirm alarm has been received. Notify the on duty Security Supervisor Notify the General Manager and the Q-HSE department. Ensure arrangements are made to meet and direct emergency services on the site of emergency.
3. CHIEF WARDEN MUST:
Determine the nature of the emergency and initiate required actions to safeguard persons and property. Depending on the level of threat or emergency, notify the Emergency Director.
4. ALL EMERGENCY ORGANIZATION STAFF MUST:
Maintain a calm atmosphere among staff under their responsibility Follow planned procedures. Follow orders from the chief warden Proceed with evacuation as necessary when instructed to do so, using the information provided to enable the effective evacuation of the persons under their responsibility.
