REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMIXTURES Concrete made with admixtures when compared with identical

concrete made without the admixture~in accordance with 7 and 8 shall conform to the
requirements appropriate to the type of admixture given in Table 1A and Table ll3, except in the
case of airentraining admixture. In the case of air-entraining admixtures, a reference admixture of
approved quality shall be used in the control concrete to entrain identical amount of air. NOTE - If
required by the purchaser, the concrete with air-entraining admixture may be tested for resl\rance
to freezing and thawing in accordance with theprocedurc given in Annex B, in such case the relative
durability factor of the concrete with admixture under test shall be not less than 80. REQUIREMENTS
