Causal/ Proposal Redux Writing Experience

Working on the Causal proposal Redux was probably one of the more interesting writing

experiences I have faced this year so far. At the beginning when I first started working on it, I

had had to come up with a transcript of everything the website would include such as, images,

buttons, pages, and a total word count of 1,100 to 1,500 words. When I came to a finishing point

on my transcript I exceded the word count by 1,500 more than I inticipated, which lead me in

having to make adjustments for the final transcript, by removing information that was not as

important compared to the information I found to be important, such as the sources. When the

time came for me having to do the video presentation of my redux website, I found it to be a bit

challenging in my case. Their was many instances I had to do retakes on the presentation because

the time went over 5 minutes. Because of this, I had to summarize each paragraph and section of

my website. I would not say that it was perfect, but I did try the best I was able. I would not say

that I disliked this assignment, since it focused on my passion (Art) and my chosen cause and

effects. It helped me in being able to verbally and physically portray to my viewers of how art

can bring awareness to people in situations of poverty and unemployment. It also helped me with

speaking publically, even though it was a video presentation and I was not in front of a live

audience. Being ale to do presentations in front of people is a much needed skill in college and in

the work force, especially since I am going into a career that requires me to engage with clients

through presentations.
