A Prepare BLANK SOLUTION by adding 1000 ul of distilled
 water into the “B” test tube. T
G Prepare STANDARD SOLUTION by adding 50 ul of Magnesium E
Standard Reagent, 1500 ul of Magnesium Base Reagent and 50 ul of
N  Magnesium Color Developer into the “S” test tube. R

E Prepare SAMPLE/TEST by adding 50 ul of the Patient Sample, 1500 ul of
Magnesium Base Reagent and 50 ul of Magnesium Color Developer I
S  into the “T” test tube.

Mix by inversion. Incubate at room temperature for 1
I  minute. A
After incubation, zero the spectrophotometer with the Water T
U  Blank at 492 - 520 nm

Read and record the absorbance of all tubes.
