The night sky has been an object of human interest from the prior communities on earth.
Everyone had a passion for the heavenly bodies and the nobility of the scholars created
assumptions to clarify the phenomena of the heavens, which directed the notion of the geocentric
model to the heliocentric model.

Geocentric means measured as from the center of the Earth. Thinkers like Aristotle
propagated this assumption which pursues that all stars or planets surround the Earth, with the
stars being found at the outermost angles, and the moon is at the innermost standpoint in which is
similarly named the “Ptolemaic system” with respect to the Greek scientist Ptolemy. While the
heliocentric theory is about solar system in which the Sun as the center of the solar system.
Heliocentric is expressed as being noticed from the center of the Sun. Astronomer Copernicus
assembled the works of the earlier astronomers and recommended an assumption that positioned
the Sun at the center of the solar system and all planets, stars, and Earth surrounding it. The
following are some additional differences and similarities between the geocentric and
heliocentric model: First, in geocentric theory, the stars revolve around the Earth while according
to the heliocentric theory, the Earth revolves around its axis which conveys a feeling of shifting
stars. Second, the geocentric theory recommends that all objects comprising the moon, sun, stars
circle around the Earth while the heliocentric theory proposes that all other objects including the
Earth, moon, and stars move around the Sun. Lastly, the geocentric theory asserts that the
direction of activity of the heavenly bodies is circular while the heliocentric theory states that the
direction of activity is elliptical.

The observations made by Galileo led to a modern scientific revolution. It not only
remakes the impression of some old critics but also improves the view of the people up to this
present time. We view now things deeply, we learned to connect and study them critically and
that's what made modern science today and how our view of heavenly bodies came to be.
