Dear Candidate,
A consignment containing 123 Subscriber Registration forms along with KYC documents in respect of
Employees who joined the Bank from March 2020 to June 2020 sent to Bank’s POP, the erstwhile United
Bank of India (eUBI) for generation of Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) through NSDL
has somehow got misplaced by the Courier Service. The consignment could not be traced till date despite
series of complaints and persuasions.
The process of getting fresh set of Subscriber Registration forms along with KYC documents from the
employees is to take a considerable time considering the present state of transportation facilities and
irregular courier service. To avoid further delay in generating the PRAN and remittance of NPS
subscription of the newly joined employees, it has been decided in consultation with personnel looking
after the PRAN Generation process in eUBI, that the PRAN would be generated by respective employees
through the Online Subscriber Registration facility in NPS portal and generated PRANs be migrated
under the Corporate Head Office Registration by designated officials at Head Office.
Accordingly, you are advised to generate your PRAN through NPS portal and mail the generated PRAN
to Head Office mail id smpa@bgvb.co.in with a copy to your controlling regional office at the earliest.The
process flow for online generation of Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) through NSDL is
appended below.
SOP for online registration in e-nps

1.Log into https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/NationalPensionSystem.html
2. Choose tab “NATIONAL PENSION SYSTEM”
3. click on “REGISTRATION”
4. Do not change/alter any Radio button
5. Enter your Mobile Number Registered in Aadhar
6. Enter Last Digit of Aadhaar Number
7. Upload Paperless Aadhaar Offline e-KYC ZIP file. If Zip File is not generated, download from
UIDAI website in the link provided in the portal and note down the share code. then enter the
Share code and continue.
8. Click on the check box and continue.
9. Fill the mandatory and necessary details in the respective fields.
10. Date of birth must be matched with Aadhar and Madhyamik or equivalent exam admit
card.
11. An acknowledgement number will be generated.
12. Update FATCA details properly.
13. click radio button in Address type-”Residential” and click on ”Save and proceed” tab

14.occupation details must be choose from drop down list ”Public sector” and update bank
account details and “save and proceed”.
15.Under nomination details
i) Choose PFM-“LIC PENSION FUND”-Madatory
ii) Choose your Investment Option wisely-“Auto”-Mandatory
and click radio button- “Moderate”
iii) Update nominee details then save and proceed.
16. Upload scanned PAN card and cancelled Cheque then click on upload
17. Save and confirm
18. Subscriber must contribute Rs.500 to get PRAN.
19. Select payment gateway option and click radio button “Declaration By Subscriber”
20. click on “confirm” button and proceed
21. Make payment through online mode through debit card/credit card/internet banking and get
Generated “PRAN” Number.
22.e-sign and complete the process.
