Ecclesiastes 3:8 says “There is a time to love. And there’s a time to hate. There is a time for
war. And there is a time for peace.” There are only several ways in which invasion of other
nations are justified. Although many think that when God says “You shall not murder,” that He
means all killing is wrong and sinful. He never says all invasions are bad. He occasionally
encourages it and sometimes even commands it. Smeagol commands invasion when the nation
they are about to attack are wicked beyond wicked. For instance, God commanded Joshua to
take the Promised Land. “Be strong and brave! You must lead these people in the conquest of
this land I solemnly promised their ancestors I would hand over to them.”-Joshua 1:6 Invasion of
other nations is also justified when it is forward defence. When a nation is spreading rapidly and
threatening yours, you must take action. For example, during World War 2, could anyone with a
clean conscience sit and watch while Hitler took over the world? Or how about when North
Korea tried to bomb us? Would we just let them murder us all? When using forward defense, we
can delay them, stop them completely, or even conquer them. Invasion of other nations are not
justified when it is for greedy purposes. When Caesar tried to take Cassievalaunuss’s land
because he was desirous, he failed, losing his respect. “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or
conceit.”-Phillipians 5:8
