Predictive Value Positive

The evaluators for the cases reported to the system were unable to determine whether the cases were
confirmed due to the absence of an appropriate gold standard as the report was made by the public
sector and the government. The evaluators were not able to investigate for more public reliable COVID-
19 related data other than the data provided by the government.

Representativeness

Based on the covered population makes this system representative. Most of the reported cases are from
the government together with the public and private health sectors. The distribution of cases was
presented based on the person by age group, sex, and co-morbidities and based on the place by
provincial, highly urbanized cities, closed-spaced facility, and municipality reports. The cases continued
to increased gradually for more than 6 months and reported 17,794 cases. Of the cases detected, 3,815
(21%) were symptomatic based on the report. The cases reported under surveillance were of public
health significance and that will lead to necessary interventions and required response.
