Guide for Moderator and Session Supervisor

1. Every room consists of 6 teams except for room 10 having 4 teams. Some of the rooms have
individual participants, they will be only playing the part of mediator in both the rounds.
2. Every team has two time slots already known to them as well as mentioned in the google
sheet shared with the session supervisors. It is the responsibility of the session supervisor to
give reminder to the teams of the next slot.
3. No two teams will be going against each other more than once.
4. If A and B are teammates, it is up to them to decide who gets to be the mediator or the
client for the first round. In the second round, it is mandatory to reverse the roles. The
mediator of a team will be representing the client of its own team.
5. According to the script given to the moderators, the participants will be asked to write in the
chat box their Name - what role they are playing and from which side. ( Role- Mediator or
client, Side- Requesting or Responding).
6. The Session Supervisor will start the timer as soon as the opening statement of the
participants begin. The time allotted for the mediation proceeding is 42 Minutes. The rest 3
minutes are for feedback and scoring for the judges.
7. Do not let the any session extent more than 50 mins. In case it goes longer, the time will be
used from the break itself and the next session needs to start on time.
8. Session Supervisor needs to ensure that the participants for the next time slot are given a
reminder so that there is no delay. The Moderator should confirm with the session
supervisor if everyone is present in the room before beginning with the session.
9. The format of every session will remain the same. The same script will be followed in every
round.
10. In case any Moderator or Session Supervisor faces any difficulty, you need to inform your
corresponding Moderator or session supervisor present in the room so that the other person
can temporarily handle the room and simultaneously inform us in the WhatsApp group too.
