We use the third conditional to
think in situations that happened in
the past that didnt occur and
imagine what the results would
have been. By applying the past
perfect to raise the situation and
the auxiliar would complementing
the result.
The past perfect is used after
'if' and then 'would' and the
past participle in the second
part of the sentence
