Kentucky. He made his Major League debut with the Diamondback

Joe Thurston (Hitting Coach) will return to the Double-A coaching
staff, while Ryan McLaughlin will begin his first season as a coach
in the Mariners organization.

ABOUT THE ROSTER: Nine of the players on the Opening Night


roster have played for Arkansas before led by 2019 Texas League
Pitcher of the Year Darren McCaughan. In addition to
McCaughan, three prominent relief pitchers from the 2019 Travs
squad, RH Jack Anderson, RH Darin Gillies and RH Jake Haberer
return with Gillies also having pitched for Arkansas in 2017 and
2018 as well. Also on the pitching side, RH Collin Kober (2017), RH
Ian McKinney (2019) and RH Penn Murfee (2019) have pitched for
Arkansas before with McKinney also logging parts of three
previous seasons (2016-18) with the league rival Springfield
Cardinals. On the hitting side two regulars from the 2019 squad
are back with INF Jordan Cowan and OF Dom Thompson-
Williams. Cowan finished 3rd on the team in plate appearances
and lead the club with 17 stolen bases while Thompson-Williams
was 4th in plate appearances and 2nd on the team with 24
doubles. Three former league rivals, C Josh Morgan (Frisco 2018-
19), C Brian O’Keefe (Springfield 2017, ’19) and OF Stephen
Wrenn (Corpus Christi 2018-19), join the Travs as well.
