be at least 80mm. Membrane sheets are
normally pre-striped with an 80mm line on
one side for overlap. Overlaps without the
pre-striped line shall be adhered using
MasterSeal Tape 1.

MasterSeal 730UVS, overlapping

• Fold the membrane to overlap the vertical

applied membrane to the horizontally laid
membrane.

• Corners shall be coated with

MasterSeal HLM 5000 R for sealing.
Once the coating is cured, cover the
coating with MasterSeal Tape 2 to
allow adhesion to concrete.

Coat the corner with MasterSeal HLM5000 R

• Overlaps on horizontal and vertical

interface shall be reinforced and sealed
with MasterSeal Tape 2 as shown.

4.4 Pipe Penetration

• Cut a hole on the membrane slightly

smaller than the pipe and insert the
pipe through and fit snugly to the
opening. Place MasterSeal Tape 2
around the base of the pipe to receive
the coating.

MasterSeal Tape 2 on the base of pipe

• Coat the pipe interface with

MasterSeal HLM 5000R having a
minimum height and span of
150mm. Apply MasterSeal Tape 2
over the cured coating to allow
adhesion to concrete.

4.5 Pile Head Treatment

• Cut a hole on the membrane slightly

smaller than the pile. Insert the pile
through and fit snugly to the opening.
Coat the pile with MasterSeal HLM
5000R extending at least 150mm
from the base and 50mm
passing the reinforcements.
• Once the coating has cured,
encapsulate the pile with an epoxy
grout MasterSeal 914 with a minimum
thickness of 30mm over and around
the sides of pile.

5. Repair and Maintenance

• Damage can be repaired internally or externally by patching it with a piece of
MasterSeal 730 UVS, adhered using MasterSeal double sided tape and reinforced with
MasterSeal single sided tape on the sides.

6. Inspection and Quality Control

• Work shall be visually inspected for damages before and after installation of steel
reinforcements.

7. Material Storage
• Store materials under dry and shaded conditions. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
