Re: AB Team Charter Prompt

Purpose
The intended audience of this team charter are the members of this group. The purpose of this
team charter is to delineate both individual and team goals and expectations, as well as to state a
method by which conflict resolution may be reached.

Broad Team Goals

1. Prepare an illustrated annotated bibliography on a Weebly website as prompted on the
assignment sheet

Measurable Team Goals

1. Meet all deadlines
2. Meet all of the requirements listed on the assignment sheet (four annotations + one
graphic per team member)
3. Follow all four guidelines for the Weebly website as listed on the assignment sheet

Personal Goals
- Tiffany: Cite ethically and improve conciseness in writing
- Ethan: Improve collaboration skills, the ability to edit work for the specific audience and
purpose, and organization.
- Charles: Improve technical writing and research skills.
- Jesus: to improve as a technical writer, cite ethically, and improve teamwork skills.
- Randy: To learn to concisely reach my audience and improve my organization.

Individual Commitment
- Tiffany: Will put in total effort and commitment.
- Ethan: He is initially prepared to put in total effort and commitment, but knows his busy
schedule involving his son may put this commitment in jeopardy; if this is the case, then
he is ready to accept a lower grade if need be.
- Charles: Will commit maximum effort and time possible into the project.
- Jesus: Will commit to maximum effort.
- Randy: I will strive for excellence and 100% participation but I do have 5 other
classes/family/6 day work week.
Other Concerns
- Ethan has concerns involving his limited availability during weekends
(Thursday-Sunday) because he has his son, but he will do his best to communicate with
team members regarding new challenges as they arrive. He will still be available during
nights and the remaining days of the week.
- Randy: Works the graveyard shift which means is asleep most of the day. This may make
him seem unresponsive to texts/emails or behind in general but indeed is following along.
Also has 2 kids/wife which very rarely distract from school but things do come up.

Conflict Resolution
If we experience conflict that is not resolved after a group consensus (discussing the issue until
everyone agrees), we will present both sides to Dr. Bruce and let her decide.

Missed Deadlines
If a team member misses a deadline, another team member (or the team leader) will send a
“gentle-reminder” text or email. If the team member does not respond within 24 hrs., the team
leader will contact the instructor. Should a personal emergency or dire circumstance arise, the
team leader will contact the rest of the team to decide the course of action. To avoid a deadline,
ideally a team member who thinks they will not make a deadline should contact the rest of the
group, with sufficient notice, so that we can put our collective effort to helping the team member
reach the deadline.

Unacceptable work
If a team member turns in work that does not meet the assignment criteria, other team members
should contact the team leader. The team leader will then contact the team member with a list of
concerns. The team member has 2 days to submit a revision. If the team member is confused as
to why their work is deemed unacceptable, they should email the team leader. All work should be
reviewed by the entire group before submission.
