QUIZ # 5 on Chapter 6 – Corporate Social Responsibility

DIRECTION: Answer the following questions. Explain.

1) Do you believe that the CSR program has to be economically beneficial to the organizations to be

effective?

- Yes because csr can be beneficial in many ways like improving public image as customers consider your
public image when deciding whether or not to buy from you something as simple as staff members
volunteering an hour a week at a charity demonstrates that you are a brand that cares about othersa s a
result, you will appear much more appealing to customers. It can also make an advantage over your
competitors because you stand out from competitors in your industry. You establish yourself as a
company committed to going one step further by considering social and environmental factors.

2) Comment on the statement that undertaking CSR will always help motivate employees.

- It’s proven that employees enjoy working more for a company that has a good public image than one
that doesn’t. Furthermore, by showing that you’re committed to things like human rights, you’re much
more likely to attract and retain the top candidates. Also their workplace will be a more positive and
productive place to work, and by promoting things like volunteering, you encourage personal and
professional growth.

3) Based on CSR program, what are other areas that you think need attention in the near future?

- For me, millennials and Generation Z are even more important because they are socially responsible
businesses. They believe that businesses should invest in improving society and seek solutions to help
with that improvement. Companies should share how they are attempting to have a positive impact on
the world so that the general public can see the pro-social initiatives they are undertaking. displaying
efforts is important to target millennia’s because these efforts will sway the choices millennia’s make as
consumers.
