DESIGN YOUR OWN EXPERIMENT

ANGEL MARK M. BARRO

VII-TITIANIUM

Problem
Do seeds germinate faster if fertilizer is applied?

Hypothesis
WHAT IF I WILL TEST IT.

Plan the Experiment

1. POT
2. PLANT SEEDS-DEPENDENT VARIABLE
3. WATER
4. FERTILIZER-INDEPENDENT VARIABLE
5. DIRT

Check the Plan

1. Review the “scientific method” to ensure that you have included all the pertinent
steps. DONE
2. Does the plan test only one variable, such as the amount of fertilizer added? NO WE
TEST TWO
3. Have you determined how many seeds or plants you will use in each group and
which dependent variable you will measure? Also, have you decided how often you will
take measurements? YES. YES .
4. Did you make a data table that compares the observations you made of the control
and experimental groups? Did you include a graph of your data. NO

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED? I HAVE LEARNED THAT THE FERTILIZED PLANTS ARE
HEALTHIER THAN NON-FERTILIZED PLANTS BUT OF THEM STILL GROW. (MY
RESEARCH SAY THAT IT IS OK NOT TO GIVE A FERTILIZER BECAUSE FOR
THEM IT TASTES THE SAME) https://www.fertilizer-
