*Introduction:

As you know, childhood obesity has increased significantly in recent years. This
problem is getting worse and worse. How can we prevent children and teenagers
being obese?
*Body:
-Body 1: Causes:
Children become overweight and obese for a variety of reasons.
+Unhealthy diet: Children prefer eating fast food or snacks to eating healthy food
such as: vegetables, rice, …
+Lack of physical or sport activity: They don’t do exercise or take part in outdoor
activities. They just stay at home, play computer games, watch TV or chat on the
Internet with friends.
-Body 2:Effects:
+Disease: High blood pressure, heart disease,… and other health problems.
+Make children inactive: they become lazy. They also have some mentally related
problems such as: depression.
+Long-term effects: a kid who is obese is likely to be obese as an aldult.
-Body 3:Solutions:
+ Parents’ and school responsibility: control what they eat, tell them the
disadvantages of obesity.
+Government’s responsibility: ban some fast food company from advertising their
food.
*Concluding:
In short, the main causes that make children obese are the imbalance diets and
lack of physical activities. To mitigate this problem, parents’ and government’s
concerted actions are very important. If parents enforce a healthier lifestyle at
home, their children won’t have obesity problems. And what the children have
learnt about eating healthy food, doing exercise or ways to choose nutrient food
at school will help them avoid being obese. Focusing on these causes and
solutions will decrease childhood obesity and lead to a healthier country.
