I. V-거나 V
-거나 means “or”
- added at the stem of the verb
-the speaker can indicate that it hasn’t been decided which action will be completed
Ex:
1. A: 시간이 있을 때 뭐 하세요?
B: 책을 읽거나 영화를 봐요.
2. A: 이번 주말에 뭐 하세요?
B: 친구를 만나거나 여행해요.
II. V-(으)ㄹ 줄 알아요/몰라요

- to indicate that one “knows how” OR “doesn’t know how” to do a specific action.
- added at the stem of the verb
Ex:
1. A: 스키를 탈 줄 알아요?
B: 네, 스키 를 탈 줄 알아요.
C: 아니요, 스키를 탈 줄 몰라요.
2. 운전할 줄 알아요. (I know how to drive.)
운전할 줄 몰라요. (I don’t know how to drive.)
3. 한글을 읽을 줄 알아요.- consonant ending stem
한글을 읽을 줄 몰라요.
III. 아/어/해야 해요

- 아/어/해야 is added to the stem of a word (verb) at the end of a sentence

- to indicate that something MUST be done. 

Ex:
1. A: 머리가 아파요.
B: 그럼 약을 먹어야 해요.
2. A: 시간이 있어요?
 B: 아니요. 너무 바빠요. 지금 가야 해요.
3. A: 우려운 시험 있어요.
B: 그럼 공부해야 해요.
