Which city would you most like to visit? The city that I would like to visit the most is
Barcelona because of the museums and eat all the seafood plates.
4. Vocabulary - What makes a city? A city is an urban area with a large
population and a particular administrative, legal, or historical status.

a) Define each word.

Climate: the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.
Crime rate: the number of crimes that are committed during a period of time in a
particular place.
Green spaces: land that is partly or completely covered with grass, trees, shrubs, or
other vegetation). Green space includes parks, community gardens, and cemeteries.
Job market: The job market is the market in which employers search for employees
and employees search for jobs.
Neighborhoods: district or community within a town or city.
Shopping: the action or activity of buying goods from shops.
Cost of living: the level of prices relating to a range of everyday items.
Cuisine: a style or method of cooking, especially as characteristic of a particular country,
region, or establishment.
Hotels: an establishment providing accommodation, meals, and other services for
travellers and tourists.
Landmark: an object or feature of a landscape or town that is easily seen and recognized
from a distance, especially one that enables someone to establish their location.
Nightlife: social activities or entertainment available at night in a town or city.
Transportation system: can be defined as the combination of elements and their
interactions, which produce the demand for travel within a given area and the supply of
transportation services to satisfy this demand.

b) Put the words (City features) in the correct columns. Add some ideas of
your own.

5. Make a group of 3 people and prepare a tour, in which you present at least
3 of your favorite cities in the world, making use of the words from the
vocabulary above.
