Undergraduate Course Approval Process

Students are allowed to opt for any one of the300/400 level undergraduate/graduate course (excluding
offered by SDSB) from any discipline.

Students are required to check the clashes for the undergraduate/graduate courses with the MBA
ones by themselves. (i.e. courses, midterm & final exams). Spring 2017 course memo, class schedule
and final examination matrix are available on the Registrar Office portal at the below navigation:
http://portal.lums.edu.pk/RegistrarOffice > Documents to Download > Term Schedules

For the undergraduate/graduate courses to be approved, conditions are as under,

 Students are first required to get a 300/400 level course approved from the respective faculty
member offering that course.

 After the approval from the respective faculty member, checking the prerequisites, the course
will be approved by the Director, MBA Programme.

 After seeking the above two approvals, you will send your request to the MBA Programme
Officer (Mr. Azhar Abbasi at rabbas@lums.edu.pk) who will maintain a log of all the requests.
The deadline to send these enrollment requests is Wednesday January 25, 2017 and no request
shall be entertained after the deadline.
 Students are allowed to enroll for only two 4 credit hour undergraduate course (2 full unit MBA
course) during second year, one course in each semester.

 In certain cases, the offering department may not allow MBA students to get enrolled for a
particular because of the prerequisites for that course or due to departmental policy. In such
cases, it is the responsibility of the student to take necessary approval from the offering
department.

 Students will have the option to enroll for their approved undergraduate course during the
Add/Drop phase of the MBA courses. Deadline for add/drop phase of undergraduate courses
announced by RO will not be followed.

 Please note that since RO has eliminated fixed number of seats assigned to MBA students
previously so these is no guarantee that you will get the approved undergraduate courses of
your choice.
